To say that it’s been a while since I’ve saddled up for 100 miles on my bike would be an understatement, but today I did just that!
Friday afternoon my BAB SISTA and I loaded up our bikes with our sights set on the beautiful backcountry and rolling hills of Ridgeland Mississippi on the Natchez Trace.
Today myself and a “few” other cyclists fiercely saddled up and rolled off in the misting rain for 100 miles at the Natchez Trace Century Ride. It turned out to be a beautiful day and I had an incredible ride.
Today as I reflect back on the fitness setbacks of 2021 - 2022 ~ all I feel is gratitude not only for my body’s remarkable ability to heal, but for all of the other body systems that have to synergistically work together ~ a sophisticated machine that truly puts the awe in awesome!!
I strongly averaged 17.7 mph for 100 miles ~
In all of the excitement of the ride I forgot to start my Garmin, but I did snag this cool finishers medal, amazing swag bag, met new friends, and made many memories along the way!
