[ ​The BWCA needs our help ] Currently, fifteen fires are burning across the Superior National Forest. Roughly 55,000 acres. The Boundary Waters closed Tuesday - all of it, every entry point. First time since 2021.⁠

Most of you have a trip up there you still think about. So do we.⁠
​⁠
So, now through Sunday: $10 from every order goes to the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's Crisis & Disaster Recovery Fund. Chisholm-based, no admin fee, sixty years up north. Last summer they raised $62,000 for Brimson fire recovery and all of it went to the people who needed it. ⁠

We're giving at least $2,500 no matter what sells.⁠
⁠
The crews say these fires burn until snow. So this money won't get spent this week. It'll be there in the fall, when people are adding up what they lost, which is when it actually matters, and when everyone's stopped paying attention.⁠

One ask either way: send money, not supplies. United Way has said food and clothing donations mostly go to waste in a disaster.⁠

Minnesota has no shortage of places worth going. Most of us just need a reason to finally go.
