Today I have very bittersweet news to share. I will be closing our brick and mortar store. I have loved every moment of owning a plant shop in our little town over the last three years.

As many of you know, my husband and I recently welcomed our third baby, and I’ve been feeling called to reassess how I am using my time and energy, and refocus that energy back on my family. Time is so fleeting and my children won’t always be this little. I have always maintained that I opened my business for my kiddos so that they could see me following my dreams. They have seen me follow and fulfill it, but now they’re also seeing me choose them instead, because they’re the most important dream and highest calling I’ll ever have.

All that being said, this isn’t the end for My Kansas Jungle Plant Market, nor for our beautiful space that you have all grown to love. My heart is so happy to tell you that Clare from Poppy + Co will be taking over the entire building to continue to bring you gorgeous flowers for all occasions, so be sure to continue to check in and see all the exciting changes that will be happening!

As for me, be on the lookout for plant popups and guest workshops at Poppy + Co. I will also be maintaining the website so order away online! I will also continue to fulfill our plant subscriptions, so if you need a monthly dose of green in your life, I’ve got you covered!

If you’ve ever shopped, joined us for a workshop, or just stopped in the shop to say hey, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will always be so grateful for every last one of you.

We are so happy to share that our plants are now available directly from the Piper Funeral Home website for wakes and funerals. Delivery to Piper Funeral Home is always free!

We hit a huge goal today! 👏🏅🎊 Since starting the shop it was a huge personal + business goal to partner with Piper Funeral Home and become a preferred florist on their website. It’s our goal to redefine “funeral flowers” and create joyful, uplifting, color arrangements to remember your loved one by. 🧡💙💜

I am so excited and proud to say… WE DID IT. You’ll now find our arrangements on Piper Funeral Home’s website! We are so thrilled that we’ve reached this goal and honored to be more accessible to those looking to honor a loved one. 🤍

You can still feel free to call us or order through our website at any time. But now, you can easily find our arrangements by clicking “send flowers” after each obituary.

We’re thrilled to invite you to the Kaw Valley Chamber’s inaugural Art Walk on Saturday, September 7th, starting at 3:00 PM! This event is all about celebrating our vibrant local arts community and promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.

Event Highlights:

Local Artists: Watch talented artists create and display their work live! The open-air art begins at 3:00 PM along Bertrand, followed by a panel awarding a monetary prize to the most impressive piece.
Live Busking: Musicians will be busking along Bertrand starting at 3:00 PM. Enjoy the tunes as you explore the art!
Evening Fun: Beginning at 7:00 PM, join us at the Railroad Park for live music, lawn games, and a cozy campfire.
Common Consumption Area: We’re excited to introduce our new Common Consumption Area during the Art Walk. Enjoy beverages as you stroll through the event! (Interested in pulling a temporary permit for this event? Let us know!)
