One of the things I’ve noticed more and more in the classroom is just how many of our kids are carrying big worries in little bodies. 💗

As a teacher, I see children who are nervous about making a mistake. Kids who struggle when routines change. Kids who become overwhelmed in busy environments. Kids who pick at their fingers, fidget with anything they can find, or simply need something for their hands to do while they work through those big feelings.

And it feels like every year, I see more of it.

That’s one of the reasons I was so excited about bringing Picky Pads to Mullis Made.

They aren't a treatment for anxiety, and they certainly aren't a magic fix. They're simply a calming, hands-on sensory activity that gives busy hands somewhere to go and provides a screen-free activity to focus on.

Pick a bead. Find a charm. Keep going. 💕

Sometimes having one small, repetitive task to concentrate on can be exactly the kind of quiet activity a child enjoys when the world around them feels like a lot.

I can see these being tucked into backpacks for car rides, pulled out in waiting rooms, used during quiet time at home, or simply kept nearby for those moments when a child needs to sit, pick, and focus on something else for a little while.

And maybe that's what I love most about them.

I have been working overtime to get these picky pads to production-and I am so excited to finally be stocking them in the store THIS WEEKEND!

I’ve had several of my favorite little people try them out and they are a huge hit! One parent even said, “I don’t care how much they cost-I’ll take four!”

And that is the best part. I searched and searched for a reputable wholesaler and couldn’t find one that we could all afford…so I MADE MY OWN! ❤️

Be sure to swing by the store this weekend to grab yours. The response I got from the samples tells me they won’t last long and might even be bigger than…dumplings!!
