The Minnesota State Fair may be 51 days (who's counting?) away, but we are too excited to keep our new designs a surprise much longer!

We will be at the Minnehaha Falls Art Fair July 17-19! Come shop our goods - including new State Fair designs, explore over 200 artists, and enjoy food trucks, eats from Sea Salt Eatery, drinks, and live music, all in the heart of Minnehaha Falls Park. We will be booth #106, closer to the parking lot above Sea Salt.

Just across the falls, you’ll also find an extended section of the fair, Vintage & Funky Fest, featuring 60+ vintage vendors and artists with eclectic, non-traditional work. Free to attend, I hope to see you there!

Before you hit that add to cart button during Amazon Prime Days, here are a few reasons why you should ditch them and instead spend your dollars locally:

That "free shipping" is not free. It's $139 a year.

This spring, Amazon was caught using AI to scrape artist's work and products and listing them without the owner's consent or knowledge.

Over time, they have bought up competitors (often smaller businesses) and put them out of business.

Amazon has partnered with ICE, which spent over $25 million dollars for Amazon's web cloud services (source Forbes).

There is a long history of poor working conditions, union busting and illegal practices used against Amazon workers.

In 2025, Amazon received 💰 $17.5 billion💰 in tax subsidies by paying just 1.4 percent of its U.S. income in federal corporate income taxes rather than the official 21 percent that is the ostensible tax rate for corporations. (source ITEP)

Buy from real people who treat their employees well, pay their taxes, aren't a-holes and work to lift their community up rather than exploit it.
