If you like your plants a bit weird and whimsical, you’ll probably want to add a Huperzia (aka tassel fern) to the collection. These ancient wonders are epiphytes, meaning in nature they grow attached to trees instead of rooting in the ground (like orchids, staghorn ferns, and air plants).
Also, a customer once said the “tassels” reminded her of chicken feet and now I can’t unsee it. Somehow that makes me love them even more. 🐓😂
