One of the pieces I completed for the soul tides exhibition Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center :)

as a continuation piece in my mixed media recycled textile series, I feel this piece really demonstrates the confidence I’m developing in playing with various material opacity. the nature of the fabric really lent to hand to the murky waters of swampy ecosystems, and then my opinion creates a very interesting relationship between media.

NEW PIECE RELEASE TO CELEBRATE NIGHT ONE OF SOUL TIDES AT THE TAMPA BAY WATCH!!✨

i am coming off a high from all the radiant energy at the Soul Tides Exhibition Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center last night!

thank you so so much to everyone who came & who reached out extending kind words of congratulations! the support is overwhelming and i just feel so unfathomably grateful and blessed.

to collaborate with such an incredible organization, and contribute to a greater cause, is in and of itself, so rewarding.

i could further write and entire essay on this single piece alone, on everything it taught me, and how excited i am to apply these practices in the future. i will be releasing a blog soon going into detail for anyone interested; stay tuned!
