Nope. Not a swarm. Just new bee babies learning to navigate their world. To use, it seems frantic, like swarm behavior. But when you slow down and pay attention, you see they’re just moving in gradually larger circles and returning. Keen observation and slowing down are key to keeping!

This is bearding. No, they are not going to swarm. These bees are working to control the temperature and humidity in their hive. I added 2 new boxes on a hot and humid day (because they were needed). The bees are now regulating the new temperature dynamics in their hive. This is a sign of a healthy colony. It’s important to learn the difference between at beard and a swarm. See how not many bees are flying around the entrance? That’s a major sign of the difference in behavior.
