As a top Poshmark and Ebay seller, I can confidently say that this is the easiest job in the world! You can literally make 1M a year by selling clothes from your closet. I'm my own boss and can rest whenever I please. This requires no skills or knowledge, anyone can do it! 🫶
April fools! Since selling on 9 platforms since 2018, I've made over $200k in sales. I'm a part-time vintage and name brand seller in AZ with a full-time job!
The realities:
☆ It takes months and years to develop the skills and knowledge. You have to keep learning and adapting.
☆ Owning any small business hard work. I've spent blood, sweat, tears on this endeavor and it's seemingly more difficult lately due to the economy.
☆ It's not the most organized, as you can see. This is why I try to keep it all in my office and garage.
☆ Resellers get a lot of hate online from people who don't understand the value of keeping clothing accessible and out of landfills. You have to have a thick skin and ignore the haters.
☆ Some sellers do make millions... but they have employees, high volume, large warehouses, and connections that require time and money. It is possible, but I'm not the one to show you how!
I'm proud of what I've built and grateful for the flexibility, skills, and opportunities reselling has given! If you're looking for a creative side hustle that helps keeps clothing in circulation (and from going to a landfill or shipped overseas) reselling is worth a try.
Try Poshmark, ebay, depop, mercari, vinted, etc.
Use .ai to build your selling business! Link in bio for a discount. I use it to create listing, track inventory, edit photos, and view analytics. 100% the best software I've used.
Hope this was helpful!
