In the newest post in our “Tales from the OHS Oral History Collection” miniseries, Oral History Librarian Sarah Stroman unearths a story from John E. Jaqua, a Eugene-based attorney who was instrumental in the founding of Nike, Inc. In the interview, Jaqua discusses challenges with early shoe distribution, how the company got its name, and his relationship with Nike’s founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman.
