Tomorrow will be the test run of a new addition to my business, freeze drying. I made the investment for myself so I can produce my own camping food and to preserve my garden. I will still mainly be doing apparel, accessories, and custom clothing with Home Per Aspera. The freeze drying will mostly be unique snacks and food and mainly homemade food like my salsa and pasta sauce. I’ll be taking custom orders for homemade meals. A lot of my backpacker and hunter friends have requested the meals and salsa.
The candy and snacks are eaten as is.
The salsa is a 1:1 ratio with water to rehydrate it. You’ll have shelf stable homemade salsa anytime you want and it last up to 25 years. After opening it does not need refrigeration and you can mix the exact amount you’d like every time so nothing goes to waste. It’s easy to travel with and store.
I’m still working on mastering the rest of the foods. If it’s not perfect, I’m not selling it.
I’ll be selling snickers, hot tamales, skittles, wild berry skittles, ice cream sandwiches and root beer float ice cream. Some tastings will be available.
My favorites are the snickers, hot tamales and root beer float ice cream and the salsa, of course.
