Our second day of community service this week! ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Trader’s Joe for generously donating wonderful fresh produce to support our community - and to PIK2AR (
Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources) for having this program…which Jackie Molifua continues to lead.

We helped unpack and organize the donations, then took our share and spread the love across 7 homes and 4 gravesites. A little act of kindness, sharing love and bringing comfort along the way. 🌸❤️

Grateful for the opportunity to serve, give back, and make a difference in our community, one act of kindness at a time.

Today, we joined BREAKING BREAK, a program of PIK2AR (Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources) - in serving meals to the less fortunate and unsheltered members of our community.

One special moment was celebrating a young lad’s 9th birthday!🎂 Leo brought his delicious guava cake and generously shared it with the volunteers and some of the people we were serving.

A big shout-out to his parents for teaching him the value of kindness, generosity, and sharing from such a young age.❤️ What a beautiful reminder that it’s never too early to learn the joy of giving and making a difference in someone else’s life.💕

IT'S PERSONAL!

"This show means the world to me not because of exposure, but because it bridges the connections to our island and puts Manus in the spotlight.

I began in 2024 with nothing but the stories of my grandmothers. What went on the runway was bits and pieces of cutting, not complete garments, and I cried. Not because I was not able to show, but because I knew I had more to offer, but I was limited by my resources. This journey is the journey of a lonely girl who witnessed miracles and blessings even when I was blind to realize.

The name "Philau" was given to me by the eldest matriarch of my father's family in Manus. It is tied to Philapan, a Manus name meaning one of higher status or royal bloodline, and it reflects the maritime heritage of the Manus voyagers the Muengkol.

The PHILAPAN COLLECTION takes its name and spirit from this ancestry. It is bold, regal and rooted in cultural pride, carried by the line Crowned by Ancestry!"
