One of my favorite things when making a blanket is when someone says “surprise me” on the colors 😍 I get to be a little extra creative with my color selection and then I come out with this beauty!! I’m not kidding when I say it was hard to give this one up.

She’s all finished 😍 Alex’s Harry Potter blanket, his Christmas 2020 gift. Good thing he’s patient since it’s a been a few months 🤗

Pattern: adapted from Checkerboard Stripes, and from Erica Stone, a maker in the DFC Facebook group.

Stitch: half double crochet cluster

Yarn: I Love This Yarn in Cranberry, Sungold, Yellow, Black, Royal, Line , Gray Mist, Linen, Graphite, and Yarn Bee Kale

I made this teddy bear for my niece Elsie, and her momma said she reaches for it when she gets up from her naps 🥺 swipe to see her stinker brother Linus who has been stealing some cuddles too!

We live on opposite sides of the country, but that’s why I love making - seeing these sweet photos and knowing that loved ones are able to hug on something soft and cuddly when we can’t be together 💙
