In the early days of embalming electricity was not a thing so how did we get the embalming fluid into the body ? Early morticians used gravity ! Check out this gravity embalming set up. The bottle that is holding the embalming fluid is place high on a pole with a hose running down to the person being embalmed, the height of the bottle dictates the pressure that the fluid goes into the body. This process could take hours thankfully we have electric machines now - we will talk about those in another post.
