🖤Jolene's Corner 🖤

A cool little tidbit of history about Jolene our 1942 Cadillac hearse. Not only is she one of less than 95 Cadillac Superior Bodies hearses built in 1942 but she is a true pre war example she was manufactured prior to February of 1942 and sports chrome trim and grille work. The 1942 Cadillacs built in February 1942 where called "Black out " models and featured painted grille work and bumpers at the time there was a hold on using chrome in the auto industry.

One more thing that makes Jolene special 🥀

🕰 Sunday Stories from the Attic 🕰

💐 The Lady Head Vase - Midcentury Elegance

Once a charming fixture in homes and flower shops, lady head vases became especially popular during the 1940s through the 1960s. These distinctive ceramic vases portrayed fashionable women of the era, often adorned with elegant hats, jewelry, eyelashes, gloves, and beautifully painted details.

Originally designed to hold small floral arrangements, many were sold through florists as decorative containers for special occasions. Over the decades, their glamorous expressions and unmistakable midcentury style transformed them from everyday decor into sought-after collectibles.

Today, each lady head vase offers a little glimpse into the fashion and style of another time.
