Hello San Antonio! I’m happy to announce that FWTX SA is happening, and exciting things are in the works. We are thrilled to launch this new and exciting brand in our home state of Texas and in our hometown San Antonio. FWTX is a new breed of "Fashion Week" in the Texas Fashionscape. And it is something that many of us have been absolutely starving for, which is why we plan to present it to you in
the style of our fabulous, yet distant neighbors in New York, Paris and Milan. What they know as "Fashion Week" is a fast-paced, exhilarating 7 days of non-stop fashion, glamour and fun. It’s about the celebrities, the "Ice Queens", the supermodels and super moguls alike. But nothing is more important than the designers, who spend countless hours behind the scenes in order to showcase their incredible new collections. However, just because we are in a different market in SA, that doesn't mean we can't experience the thrill that is "Fashion Week!" So strap on your highest heels and even a fur, perhaps, and make plans now to join us for the most exciting fashion event to happen in San Antonio. As mentioned above, we are in a very different market. So, unfortunately, we don't yet have elite fashion insiders, well-known fashion photographers and big name celebs traveling here for fashion. However, we plan to take a slightly different approach – a four-day fashion experience featuring15 designers and 19 events all centered in and around beautiful, downtown San Antonio. In addition, we will highlight at least 5 emerging designers, who are creating and building their brands throughout Texas. We will also feature at least 5 established designers, who we think are some of the best-kept secrets in the industry, working in and around the Lone Star State. And to support the future of fashion, we are accepting small collection submissions from current students and recent graduates of design schools in San Antonio. As for our special events, each one will be ticketed and held at different venues, so that you will truly get the true fashionista experience. As the lights dim on one show, you can slip on your most glamorous sneaks and head down to the next, and then the other. And, hopefully, you will still have some energy left to enjoy a mini-closing reception with us each night. This is just a brief overview of what you can expect.
