Every now and then I offer a flash sale of monogramming, embroidery, custom patchwork pillows, or even quilts, but usually I just sew for fun.

Here is the first attempt at the luggage tag.

The cutting was super easy. Without even reading instructions, I was able to set up and cut my vinyl faster than the amount of time it took me to wind a bobbin and thread my machine.

My proficiency at sewing vinyl was another story. I feel like I need some kind of heatless, glue-basting technique to keep everything from sliding because wonder clips alone were not enough. I did use the Teflon stitch plate with foot and lightened the pressure on my presser foot. Any tips from the experts out there? I assume I will get better with practice.

Maybe I will try cork next!

Still over here quietly stitching! This little design, purchased on Etsy, is by Emma Congdon of Stitchrovia. It was fun to stitch, and I pretty much couldn't stop until it was done. It took about 3 weeks.

🌮This made me realize I love stitching letters, and I love Congdon's shading. It also made me realize I am terrible at counting and following a pattern with assigned colors. I will flat finish this and hang it on my taco wall. In San Antonio we all have taco wall galleries, right?

Fabric: 14 ct aida, cream & sugar by Fiber on a Whim
Floss: mostly called for DMC except a couple were substitutions based on my stash.
