“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to a venture that has opened doors, forged friendships, and allowed me to celebrate someone special almost every weekend for years, the time has come to pass the torch.
I want to make a difference, and I’ve listened to the people around me who have recognized my patience, my love for teaching, and my ability to lead. So while this is goodbye, there is also a new beginning—one I could not be more excited about.
It’s no secret that I became a little obsessed with tea parties. 😂
Entertaining has always been my first love, but somewhere along the way, I was reminded of the importance of etiquette.
That led me on a deep dive into my grandmother and my mother, and the care, time, and books my grandmother poured into teaching etiquette. I was reminded that this was something much deeper than setting a table or knowing which fork to use.
I had the privilege of speaking at a school for disabled adults about manners & how to conduct oneself in a social setting, and it made my desire even more. So over the last two years, I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes to build a program that teaches children and adults traditional and modern etiquette, manners, and social skills.
My classes are already beginning to fill, and I’ve met some amazing children along the way. I’ve also realized, even from raising my own children, that there are simply some things that can get overlooked when we’re busy living life.
I want to help fill that gap.
I want to teach children the importance of family, respect, confidence, consideration, and kindness—and, of course, how to walk into a room with confidence and sit down at a dinner table knowing exactly what to do.
So with that, I want to thank every parent who trusted me with your children. Thank you for allowing me to be part of birthdays, celebrations, special occasions, and so many memories over the years. It has meant more to me than you probably know.
Now, it’s time for a new beginning.
And I’m excited about the possibility of spending this next chapter doing something I truly believe in—giving back, teaching, and hopefully making a lasting impact.
So wish me luck! ❤️
