Happy HalloQueen everyone. Today at 1pm we will be celebrating the release of the new QOTSA album “Perfecth”. We will be playing the album until 4pm and selling the extremely limited edition of the album on picture disc. Just to clarify, the picture disc goes on sale at 1pm. We also have some nice promotional items to give out with purchase (while supplies last). Poster, pencil, patches and pins, this stuff is brought to you by the letter “P”. QOTSA have a new record coming out on Friday. But before you jump with joy, we have some big news to share with you. On Saturday, we will have a listening party from 1-4. We will have a bunch of cool promo items (including this poster) to giveaway with purchase (while supplies last) PLUS a special pressing of the album will be available on Saturday (Halloween). I went through the entire pop section and did some weeding. These previously owned records are half off the sticker price. A $24.99 album in these bins is just $12.50!! We have 3 boxes on the counter, they need a good home. I will be adding to it throughout the week, so shop early and often. The mix is very wide ranging, from Streisand to industrial music. Something for everyone.

Hey Fontaines D.C. and XL Recordings congratulations, you are by far my best selling record of the week. You knocked Billy Strings out of the number one spot despite the store closing early on Friday and closed all day on Saturday due to the wildfire around my house/neighborhood. It might’ve helped that I have been playing it over and over again day after day. Cheers, Tom

I’m very tired from all the work and stress of keeping my house (and neighbors houses) safe from the fires. But I’m not too tired to open the store today. Forgive me if I have a mild smoky smell, it’s in my clothes. A huge shout out to the fire crews from all over Southern California that worked endlessly to get this fire put out. I can hear your trucks still roaming the streets and your chainsaws on the slopes. My heart goes out to the families up the street from me that lost their homes. 200 yards away from my house, too close for comfort. I can’t imagine what you are going through right now. Thanks to the city of San Juan Capistrano and the Red Cross for allowing my family and dozens of others from my neighborhood to stay at the community center. My wife told me the donated food from several restaurants was great and everyone on the staff super friendly and helpful. They even allowed us and others to bring their pets. Lastly, I want to apologize to the Sheriff officer that I disrespect by not following his orders when I re-entered the evacuation zone. Thanks for not arresting me. Stay safe and strong SJC and SC.
