In 2009, while pregnant with my daughter JeZENya, I was bedridden with severe sciatica and water retention. Simple everyday tasks became incredibly difficult. I couldn't bend down, lift my legs, or even dress myself without help.

One of my biggest daily struggles was putting on underwear.

Lying in bed, frustrated and uncomfortable, I had an idea: What if there was underwear designed specifically for people who can't bend down or lift their legs?

That idea stayed with me.

Years later, I turned that idea into reality. I designed and patented underwear that can be put on while standing, sitting, or lying down—without bending down or lifting your legs.

The journey wasn't quick or easy. There were many obstacles, delays, and moments when it would have been easier to give up. But I kept going because I knew firsthand how much this product could help others.

Today, seeing an idea that was born from one of the most challenging times in my life come to life is incredibly rewarding.

To every mom, woman, entrepreneur, or dreamer: don't give up on your ideas. Sometimes the best innovations come from our biggest struggles. Keep believing, keep creating, and keep moving forward. You never know who you might help along the way.

Had such an amazing time supporting my sister at the Indigenous Trailblazer Summit in 🌶️✨

Her hot sauce brand, , is a beautiful fusion of our Trinidadian and Indigenous roots — all bottled up into one bold, flavorful experience. After years as a vegan chef and constantly hearing rave reviews about her sauces, she decided to take the leap and focus on sharing them with everyone who loves a little spice in their life.

I was late getting signed up for a booth because I was busy preparing for my Las Vegas tradeshow, but was able to bring business cards, flyers, a demo, and made some great networking connections along the way.

And honestly… a booth featuring hot sauce and underwear? Why not?! 😂🔥

The Indigenous Trailblazer Summit was powerful! Got to meet incredible leaders doing work not only for themselves but for the Nations. The spirit of helping others and giving back is strong, necessary, and wonderful to see.

Got to support my sister and her Trinidadian & Indigenous hot sauce brand. Also brought flyers and business cards to network and share my Velcro underwear line that's helpful for Elders and those with reduced mobility.
