Self-taught seamstress, fashion designer and dedicated entrepreneur, Kapri, was born and raised in New York City in the borough of Queens but now considers herself a San Diego, California native. Kapri attended San Diego State University for her freshman and sophomore years of college and then transferred to California State University - East Bay where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management. A hospitality management degree contributes to her utmost love and respect for her customers as she acknowledges that respect and understanding for customer needs is the forefront of what keeps a successful business running. Throughout college she worked various jobs, mostly as a server and then as a dancer, dancing at various clubs throughout Southern California from San Diego to Los Angeles. Throughout her dancing career she felt she could never find the perfect outfit for herself and this ultimately became the influence for her to become a self-taught seamstress and open her own business. In 2023, with s*x appeal in mind, and a yearning to bring together the best aspects of East and West Coast fashion, Kapri officially launched her handmade Exotic Dancewear Boutique & Fishnet Shop, SD Xotic.
