It’s been the ride of a lifetime. Left Edit was born to fill a major gap we saw in the sustainable fashion space. We wanted to bring bold colors and vibrant prints to a space that was already thriving in the basics department. Pieces that were style forward, functional, and ethical.
We launched on Kickstarter to help us fund our initial collection and gain traction on the brand. It was such a rush putting our products out into the world for the first time and watching hour by hour to see if others shared in our vision.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, we were off to the races. Hosting events, attending fashion shows, getting our products in stores around the US, and constantly ideating around the next collection.
Insert babies and the COVID-19 pandemic. We had our first babies within a few weeks of each other and the lockdown hit shortly after.
We continued to sell online but the momentum of the brand came to a halt - along with many others. We have been fighting an uphill battle ever since and in full transparency it has been hard to keep our heads above water. It’s a tough tough business, and one that we had really hoped would be our future.
Unfortunately after many attempts, conversations, and tears, we have decided it would be best to close the doors.
We are so unbelievably thankful for the support you have shown over the years. You kept us going in moments of doubt and continued to make it all worth it. Seeing your photos, hearing your feedback, and meeting some truly inspiring people along the way was the ultimate gift.
We will be back. Someday. In a different form. And hope we can pick up where we left off.
As we make moves to sunset Left Edit, we wanted to offer some of our remaining pieces at a closing price. If you have been wanting to buy one of our products - now is the time.
With the upmost gratitude,
Holly & Kestrel 💛
