The very first pair of custom shoes I ever did were a pair of Grateful Dead slip on vans I made for my dad for Christmas in 2012. I had no clue what I was doing but I feel like they came out pretty cool. Every time we were late on making it to a swim meet I knew if I threw on the my dad would speed and make it there on time. Jamming out to the classic was always a favorite memory of mine.
