#7 of 16 for my Celtic Collection. This one has a spot so I have to clean it. I normally wash my quilts before selling/gifting but I'm not sure how I'll handle this one since it's going to be full of embroidery.🤷🏻‍♀️ It has lots of mistakes because of copying the design on to the colored fabric, but I'm learning more with each square.

I was informed I haven't been posting on this account so I better start!
This center square is from a 'Cake Mix' sheet (2) actually.
As I was using remnants I only made one or 2 squares. I decided to make a small table runner to use this solo square.
Quilted each square individually.

Just finished a baby sized version of 'It’s All An Illusion ' from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I used an Australian Aboriginal collection from Fabrilish (www.fabrilish.com). The back is from the Laura Birch basics collection which I already had. Not the right colors but I feel the design is a good compliment to the Australian design. I have a much larger version of the quilt that needs quilting but I like this one so much I had to share 🙂

Tibetan brocade bought at WM Trimmings on Capel Street about 3 years ago. No pattern just made it up as I went along. Overall not bad I think.

2 of 2 ready to be gifted. I've done this Elizabeth Hartman pattern before so I thought it would be easy! HA! Again incredibly time consuming but I persevered since I didn't gave as long as I thought I had to complete it. I thought retirement was supposed to be easy.

Purchased these pins from this vendor at the Pin and Sticker event in SF last weekend. I strongly suggest you check out this artist, she's from Mongolia and these are representative of that rich culture.

I finally found an artist to do my mural. He took inspiration from my house number tiles. Alex did a great job on the building down the street which gave me confidence to ask him to do my house and I am not disappointed.

This is called "Using Up". It's all half square triangles laid out in various ways, that's the only continuity in it. The rules of matching and color coordination were thrown out of the window. I have received positive feedback but I'm a little unsure.
I almost like the back more.

I held my 2nd Beginner Sewing class yesterday. I noticed one of my students had this tape measure in her box of supplies, though her's was much brighter, you could actually read the numbers! Mine (pictured) came with the sewing machine I bought back in the '70's when I lived in Hong Kong. My student said her mother gave it to her, she had purchased it in the Philippines. I'm sure there are loads of people with Butterfly machines/supplies but I have never run across any until yesterday. I don't know why it made me so happy but it did.

Another one finished!! 64" x 60". Fabric purchased at the Limerick Quilt Centre about 3 or 4 years ago. Lovely shop open by appointment only these days but well worth it.

For my first class in Dublin, 2013, I wanted to use recycled fabric. An attorney friend gave me some of his older shirts, all but one was blue. I finally put my sample squares into a quilt which I hope to give him.
