It’s finally here, the week of the BIG event, The Stroller Exchange (Event)-The Great Bay Area Baby Gear Swap!

❤ We’ve just added a stage and will feature live music from The Swami 3 (10am), A childrens music and movement class from Jamaroo Kids (11:45am-12:15pm), book readings and signing from notable children’s book authors, a talk on car seat installation and cleaning tutorial by Stroller Spa founder Jamie Mamikunian (4pm) and a special visit by a SF mayor candidate (10:30am)!

Still deciding on whether to host a booth to sell your awesome stuff, product or service at The Stroller Exchange (Event)-The Great Bay Area Baby Gear Swap on May 5th! How about Early Bird Pricing Today and Tomorrow!!

We are deciding between the large and smaller ballrooms today and the amount of people participating will help us make the decision.

Who should consider hosting a booth?

*Families with way too much stuff (no garage, no problem) we’ve got a whole ballroom and tons of advertisement all over the Bay Area!)

*Teens who want to make some money and get retail experience (download Venmo or similar for business and get cash for those kicks!)

*Crafters/Bakers/Artisans who want to get their product or service out to lots of people (no need for a storefront, we’ve got you covered with lots of foot traffic at St. Mary’s Cathedral on May 5th!)

*Small and Established Businesses like Toy Stores, Nanny Services, Pre-Schools, Maternity Clothing, Cafe etc (Remind folks that your business is rockin’ and get some new content for your social media from the event!)

Do you have a ton of stuff (baby gear, clothes, maternity ware, home goods etc) that you'd like to let go of? Does the idea of posting every piece on various social media outlets and waiting for buyers stress you out?
Consider renting a booth to sell everything at once at the Stroller Exchange on May 5th at St. Mary's! Bonus, donate (in your name) unsold items to charity at the end of the day so you need to bring anything back home!
Stroller Spa will be bringing the rest of our store's inventory and our teen kids will have their own table to sell their clothes and toys so kids are totally welcome to set up their own booths too!

Safety Recall: Mockingbird Strollers

The recall includes Mockingbird Single-to-Double Strollers with a lot number between 20091 and 22602-manufactuered between March 2020 to September of 2022.

The five-digit lot number can be found on the white product label on the inner left side of the stroller frame near the top of the basket.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Mockingbird to receive a free frame reinforcement kit, which includes two frame clamps that attach to the sides of the stroller to reinforce the frame.

Mockingbird is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Today Stroller Spa is doing one last cleaning for the community for those who have been waiting while our shop has been closed. More information about a prospective new owner soon!!!

But for now, throwback to when Stroller Spa was Buggy Bubbles and the owner Jamie was cleaning gear in her backyard! That was many years ago before our two store fronts and before our various owners opened up, using the same methods in their own homes all across the US and Canada. Back then the overhead was just $40 a month for supplies and a lot of elbow grease. The toughest part of working from home was probably not having a clear line to draw for when the work ended.
Special shout out to all of the owners at Buggy Bubbles and Stroller Spa throughout the years and even all of the independent stroller cleaning businesses across the world who have opened up. It’s not easy and sometimes the business is not understood but you are (or did) amazing work and you are helping to keep the world green by keeping things in good shape for years to come. Let’s celebrate each other in the good work that we are doing!

Hi Friends,

As requested, Stroller Spa will offer one more deep cleaning day to our beloved San Francisco Bay Area community this Wednesday 7/20. Drop-off/ Check-in will be at Midtown Terrace Playground between 8 am -9 am and services are expected to be done at the end of the day (cleaning time varies as our methods are be-spoke with love).

Pick up on Tuesday 7/19 can be arranged for $12 in SF and $15 in Marin.
