Oh hello.

Just a note to say thank you for all the messages yesterday after you saints watched my train wreck of a story about transition for this brand. Currently sitting in a space of stillness to try to gain clarity over the future of LONGWAY- the direction I want to take- the things I want to shed.

Because of this, we will be having a “clearing” sale starting Thursday and running through the holiday weekend. All remaining surf pants, collectors shirts and overalls will be 1/2 off (limited sizing). We also have a handful of straggler sweaters from last fall that will be deeply discounted and BRAND NEW organic cotton rib surf pants that will be deeply discounted off the bat launching at same time because they were made wrong and I just can’t pretend they weren’t. Oh, and their matching tanks that were made perfect but whatever.

If you want to hear the awkwardly long soliloquy, I have turned the long series of stories into a highlight button. We should all be so excited.

Oh, and if you are new to this brand- a brand we have grown and loved for 10 years- a brand that has seen many highs and many lows- like anything or anyone - a brand that has grown into something I never imagined yet I am still at odds over it’s future (that’s basically the summary of the stories so now you don’t have to watch)- I wanted to reintroduce myself.

I’m Kris. And these three hoodlums are my kids- Neve (15), Shepard (11) and Rhys (5) *he was Sebastian and just changed his name to his middle name before kindergarten* I love to dance. And roller skate. And run in the hills. I listen to music 90% of my day. I majored in music and studied classical voice and guitar which I have never used one day since. I am wildly lucky with great friends and a community and feel like we live in a movie set most days. I love dogs and have a Great Dane named Bader (RBG) and a chihuahua named Rooney. I cuss a lot. I just do. I also am the biggest rule follower you have ever met and get the worst anxiety when people take their dogs to places that say no dogs allowed.

Hello from the office.

Our HAND KNIT pieces are the first of our new LONGWAY CRAFTED collection. These garments are extremely special due to the process and people behind them.

Each pieces takes about a week to produce with about 4-5 people involved in the hands on process. They are hand-knit it Mantuca, Peru and made from cotton that is picked on the Southern Coast.
