There are educational opportunities available to learn fly fishing, fly tying and advanced casting techniques from nationally recognized experts. The Expo will have dozens of fly tyers who will demonstrate their tying skills over a two-day period showing some of their favorite patterns that catch fish. The classes and demonstrations are open to men and women of all ages and skills. The Expo also offers a 2-day women’s only event in addition to the open classes. There will be youth programs where kids have to opportunity to tie flies and learn fly rod casting techniques. . The expo will have a casting pond to try casting with new fly rods being exhibited by the vendors. About 80 vendors are expected. They will showcase fishing equipment including fly rods, fly lines, fly boxes, reels, packs, outdoor clothing, boats and many other items. Some vendors will offer high quality artwork in the form of prints and fish sculptures. Some of the vendors represent destination fishing locations and fishing lodges throughout the Intermountain West as well as Alaska. The vendors offer special fly fishing vacations from Alaska to Patagonia and many places in between. Come learn about Steelhead Fishing, Fishing the Green River, Utah’s Blue Ribbon Fisheries, the Utah Cuttslam and many others. These activities include youth education, conservation and several types of humanitarian activities for wounded veterans and cancer survivors.

They say the camera adds ten years, but a day on the river takes off sixty. Suddenly, everyone’s a kid again.

We get asked all the time if LaMoyne is still around the shop, so just to set the record straight… he absolutely is. Still at the helm (pun intended), still in the shop, still on the river, and still making sure every Hyde is worthy of carrying the family name.

EMERGENCY: The Lees Ferry Trout Fishery is at Risk—And We Need Your Voice!

For over 60 years, the cold, clear waters below Glen Canyon Dam have sustained one of America’s absolute best wild trout fisheries. But right now, dropping water levels are causing river temperatures to skyrocket. Without immediate intervention, our wild rainbow and brown trout face massive mortality risks, threatening both the ecosystem and our local guiding community.

The Solution: We are urging the Department of the Interior to implement seasonal "cool-mix" operations to blend colder, deeper water into the river and keep temperatures safe. This proposal requires NO extra water releases—just a smarter way to manage the flow.

How You Can Help Right Now:📝 Sign the Petition: It takes less than 60 seconds to add your name.🔄 Share This Post: Tag your fishing buddies, local clubs, and outdoor enthusiasts.🏞️ Save a Blue-Ribbon Fishery: Help us protect this $20–30 million local outdoor economy.

We lost a great friend. Scott Antonetti was the driving force behind the Expo for many years and helped build it into what it is today. We will forever be grateful for his years of commitment and sacrifice, and, most importantly, his friendship. We were blessed to have known him.
