The other day someone asked me if I ever worry about being “in competition” with other small business owners because so many people make shirts/hats/etc.
My answer? I see it a little differently.
I truly believe there’s enough opportunity for everyone. Every business owner brings something different to the table….whether it’s their style, personality, customer service, or creativity. The right customers will always find the right business for them.
In fact, there have been plenty of times when I was too booked or simply didn’t have the time to take on another order. Instead of turning people away, I’ve happily referred them to other small businesses around me. Supporting each other only makes our community stronger.
So if you’ve been sitting on the fence about starting a business, this is your sign… GO FOR IT!
Whether you want to make custom apparel, do hair, open a storefront, become a plumber, mechanic, lawn care professional, pressure washer, baker, photographer, content creator, or anything else, don’t let the fear of “too much competition” stop you.
You’ll never know what you’re capable of unless you take the chance. I believe we’re all building something unique.
Building this business has completely changed my life and has created opportunities I never imagined for my little family. ❤️ It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth every late night, every lesson learned, and every challenge along the way.
There is room for you, too. Someone out there is waiting for exactly what YOU have to offer. ✨
