A good frame doesn't care what decade it's wearing. This Regency armchair came home from auction with a beautiful carved eagle and a seat that had completely given up. I found the verdure tapestry at a little fabric shop in North Raleigh, and Alaina at Junk N Java & Upholstery by Alaina brought the whole thing back to life, right down to a matching bolster. It's staying with me, beside my mahogany secretary. If you have a piece worth saving, she's the one to see — and she's a fellow vendor of mine at Rustique Antiques in Sanford.

The booth just got a full rehaul.

I've been quietly restocking The Queen's Cabinet with new inventory for a direct UK sourcing trip. Hand painted Georgian silhouettes, English brass, Limoges and French porcelain trinket boxes, Royal memorabilia, and a Mason's Flying Bird Ironstone plate with a 19th century factory misprint on the backstamp. Plus a 21-piece Mason's Ironstone Regency set sourced right here in North Carolina to round it out.

Every piece is marked, documented, and priced. The story is on the tag.

Come find it at Rustique Antiques, 2625 Lee Ave, Sanford, NC. Open Monday through Saturday 10 to 5, Sunday 12 to 4.

Follow along for new inventory previews and the stories behind the pieces.

Something is wrong with this set. Watch to the end and tell me your theory.

Twenty-one pieces of Mason's Ironstone Regency, sourced locally for thirty-five dollars. Two backstamps. One household. No way to know which came first.

Booth reveal this week at Rustique Antiques in Sanford.
