We were part of a bird rescue the other day (a young yellow crowned night heron, thank you CROW volunteer!) and it reminded me of all the birds and turtles we’ve rescued since moving here 13 years ago. If you live on island you will often find yourself driving to CROW with an injured wild animal in a box in the back seat and a concerned child in the front. I have so many memories of this. This gold leaf and oil painting is an ode to that time of life. CROW (clinic for rehabilitation of wildlife) does such amazing work on our islands. Truly don’t know what we’d do without them.

So pleased to attend the Pace Center for Girls’ Funky Fashion Show sponsored by a slew of fabulous companies and nonprofits across SW Florida. Truly a show of creativity, outrageous fashion made from recycled materials, and to boot, fun to be surrounded by such amazing humans, all for a cause close to our hearts. We loved it! Cheers to all the proud and talented models and creators!
