SCH Fish is a local Santa Cruz business that brings fresh fish to the public. How do we do this, well we are fishermen that play with fishermen. When we land our fish a select amount gets packaged up for sale to our immediate family of consumers and the remainder gets sold to some of your favorite restaurants, gets trucked to those markets or sent on that plane for far off adventures. ct, bleed, handle, filet and package every one of our fishes so it arrives as fresh and delicious as possible. The best part of this is we only fish in a sustainable fashion, it’s only hook n line for us. This means no bycatch, everything we land will be used. It's a wrap on the 1st week of the 2020 salmon season as it is now closed and scheduled to reopen May18th. Thank you for all the orders and welcome smiles at your homes.
Our daughter did AMAZING with her 1st 12 days on the job, never complaining and always giving 110%. In total, 79 fish were landed, countless seals were fed ;) and numerous whale shows witnessed. There were some bad weather days and some days with not many fish caught.
Any deliveries we failed to produce are automatically moved to the next round after the 18th. During this week 5/13-5/17 energy will be focused on Halibut/Lingcod/Rockfish. However, swell is pounding until at least the weekend which is going to produce minimum to no results on halibut grounds~Lingcod will most likely be the ticket.
Those with pre-existing Halibut orders will be contacted. Thanks again, Stay well, Stay healthy!!

Beginning May 1st and because of the Covid-19 crisis we are offering home delivery of fresh caught King Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod and Rockfish. Orders will he taken by text only. The fish will be cleaned and iced and sold as whole. After purchase depending on species your fish may be filleted or cut to your specifications on site for an additional fillet fee. All deliveries will honor the current mask and social distancing protocols.

Our commercial Dungeness Crab season is delayed after tests find high levels of domoic acid. The closure will remain in effect indefinitely until testing determines that levels of domoic acid, a natural occurring neurotoxin that can accumulate in shellfish and other invertebrates, have returned to safe levels. The closure extends from Santa Barbra to the Oregon-California border.

In this case, no news is bad news! The ocean is Pi**in mad and isn't giving up anything within her grasp. Swells & seas have kept us grounded & when we do get out, well it's minimal at best!
Looks like this cute little fisher family is gunna be eating rice for awhile..
