Original Trading Post is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced sales associate to join our team in serving and assisting our guests to enjoy a unique, memorable and successful shopping experience. Knowledge of Native American Jewelry and Art is a plus, however it is not required as we will provide ongoing product knowledge and training.
Original Trading Post is located in a historic building in the popular Santa Fe Plaza, and is part of a locally owned business with over 50 years and 5 generations of experience and expertise in Southwest Native American crafts and Southwest gifts. We offer one of the best selections of authentic Native American Jewelry and Pottery and southwest souvenirs.

As a Sales Associate, your responsibilities will include:

Serving and assisting guests by:

Creating a welcoming and professional shopping experience.

Being familiar with store inventory and acting as host and guide.

Utilizing product knowledge to inform, enhance and enrich their experience.

Maintain the presentation and organization of displays.

Maintain cleanliness of store.

Contribute to a positive team culture through courtesy, respect and professionalism.

Attend team meetings as scheduled.

Qualities preferred:

2+ years providing exceptional customer service. May include sales, hospitality, food service etc.

Interest in and appreciation for Native American Jewelry and Art.

Enthusiasm for providing an enjoyable and successful shopping experience.

Flexibility

Dependability and integrity.

Physical requirements:

This is a retail position that requires long periods of standing.

May require need to use a step stool or small ladder.

May require lifting up to 40 lbs.
