Today, we’re remembering Dolly. 🤍
Being originally from Eastern Kentucky, Dolly Parton has always felt like more than a country music icon to us. She was proof of what can come from these mountains — that where you start doesn’t determine where you can go. From humble beginnings in rural Appalachia, she built an incredible legacy through hard work, determination, and a dream, all while never forgetting where she came from. She spent her life giving back to the communities that reminded her of home, from putting books in the hands of children through the Imagination Library to helping families rebuild after devastating wildfires and Hurricane Helene. These are things we’ve witnessed firsthand. When speaking about those affected by Helene, Dolly simply said, “These are my people.” As a business with roots in Appalachia, that sentiment means something special to us. Dolly showed the world that you can come from very little, build something bigger than you ever imagined, and then use what you’ve built to lift up the people who came after you. Thank you, Dolly, for making the mountains proud. Your legacy will live on for generations. 🤍
