I set up a holiday tree in my shop this year and guess what the theme is? This tree is a Grand Fir, and is naturally just light and spacious, so I wasnt able to hang a million ornaments or even very heavy ones~this turned out to be okay, since I think I can still just appreciate the natural beauty of the tree and keep a light energy to it. Plus it showcases a few of the very nice ornaments that I do have. I also made the tree skirt (yesterday!). The tree skirt is kind of a mashup of a few different designs I had seen on pinterest, but basically the white ruffles are supposed to resemble the seafoam of the waves coming on to the beach. Im not sure it exactly does, but its still cute! Anyways, hope you enjoy, and that all are having a warm holiday season. Sorry I havent posted more lately, ive been offline a lot. I will be posting some mermaid themed cotton bell top shirts in my shop early this spring, as well as a few new tails. Thankyou for staying with me., Happy Holidays~🧜🏼‍♀️💚.

Me and Mom and Sis at Bodega head at sunset. We dashed over in the nick of time to see it set at 8:19! Theres was alot of other people parked at the turnout for the same thing, to view the magnificent sunsets along the Sonoma coast. Normally I dont favor a crowd, but in this instance seeing the people all there together admiring nature and enjoying the beautiful moment together was actually very cool.

Big sister and I spent a fun afternoon at ~she even did this beautiful pastel sketch of the upper lilypad pond 💚~the pond was teeming with life: flowers, pads, tadpoles, dragonflies. This is the second time ive been there in the last few weeks, and the blooms are looking different each time, its a beautiful place 🌿🌸 am i going to get a mermaid tail into this pond?

This beauty is available in either my Etsy shop or on the website~ A gorgeous free flowing piece I made recently. It started with a trusted pattern but I let the embellishments and colors go where they wanted. Mostly cotton printed panels with various other sheer and sateen flounces. This is actually a size xl (and with adjustability besides) so it will fit a nice range in size. I think this would be perfect for a seaside evening event or at the Mercon Bubble Ball?! 🐚🫧 A very nice dress~

Sigh... I hate this app 😆. I havent made any tails lately. I'll get back to it, but with the world on fire and an election season coming up, my mind is on other projects. So, instead of mermaid content your getting some pictures of Sugaree at naptime the other day and me driving my old man's 34 Ford truck around town the other day. Happy Equinox comrades!!

Oh hi there, just thought id let my friends know im still alive and share some tail artwork that i smudged out in oil pastels during a not recent trip to Oahu. A hibiscus themed mermaid tail with lots of flowy bits. 🌺. Hows everyone doing? Ive barely been online lately, and life is better for it. Social media has its place, but ive been concentrating my efforts towards building in person connections, being more involved in my neighborhood where I live and reading books, drawing, or sewing instead of scrolling. Ive noticed im already calmer, have a better attention span, and my inner narrative isnt full of a running ticker tape of celebrity news garbage and online dramas. Ill be checking in here from time to time, and will get back to making more tails again, but for now im thoroughly restructuring my priorities about time spent online and on IG. Hope you all had a lovely Mer May! 🌺💕💚

Mermaid hair, dont care 💚 ... I should post more, but theres so many good reasons not to. Watching a geopolitical dumpster fire and a genocide happening in real time makes mermaid problems seem entitled and trivial. Additionally, ive dialed waaay back on my production/sales/marketing because having turned my most magical hobby into a source of revenue was taking every last bit of magic and soul out of it. I am recovering some of that in my silence and solitude all these quiet months~Having said all that though, the artist and designer in me is alive and well, and I am going to be placing unique, soulfully made mermaid pieces in my shop in the coming season, but they will be inspired, artistic wearables that come from the inspiration of the sea, not mass produced items that I need to advertise for. I think alot of mermaids who have stayed with me are those who are also artistic, empathic nature children who also understand and appreciate this, or atleast I hope so. At any rate, thanks for still following 💚🧜🏿‍♀️
