One of my favorite things about my shop's location is the incredible talent that wanders through my door. Today I got the chance to visit with Apollo Levine, Broadway and TV star. In a world of braggadocio and self-absorption, meeting a man of his humility, grace, and kindness was a boost to my soul.

Getting ready for the trip down the runway. It was the most professionally-run glorious chaos I've ever beheld. Huge kudos to the KMAC staff for keeping all of us from running amok. The HMU artists did miraculous things with our models, turning pen and paper dreams into reality.

It looks like we just ate all day. That's because we did. Louisville, I miss your hopping dining scene.

Brunch at the French Patisserie, check-in at the unspeakably hip 21c Hotel, and dinner at Seviche. Bestie, who knows everyone in the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky, even made arrangements for hubs and I to have our absolute most favorite dish in the world, Chef Anthony Lamas's moqueca.

I took the day to relax, shop at the lovely Westport Plaza, and check out some fabulous bourbons with my former neighbor and bestie. Plus, we got to pet the best good boy in the Louisville Metro area.
