Wrapping up this week at the Tempe Town Lake memorial after a long week and very long, hard day for the ADEV team—I reflected on how proud and grateful I am to be here. To be an American. To be here, 250 years into this great experiment, because of those who’ve died and those who risk death every day to preserve the ideas, beliefs, and freedoms that our nation is built on. Because of them, we persevere. We endure. We work hard and build.

We are defiant.

And we will never forget.
