If your features are naturally light and delicate, that characteristic often becomes more important than simply determining whether you’re cool or warm.

Women with light coloring often have lighter hair, lighter eyes, and an overall softness and brightness to their features.

They shine in colors that reflect that same lightness. Colors that are too dark or heavy can overpower them, while light, fresh shades create harmony.

The two seasons that fall into the Light category are:

Color analysis isn’t just about whether you’re warm or cool. Another key piece of the puzzle is how much depth your coloring has.

People with deeper coloring tend to look their best in colors that carry that same richness and intensity. Think saturated, full-bodied shades rather than light or muted ones.

The deep palette is also considered neutral. This means the colors have a neutral quality, but their defining characteristic is their depth.

This is why Deep Winter and Deep Autumn are grouped by their shared depth first.

Soft Summer can show up in many different ways, which is why it’s helpful to look beyond specific features and focus on the shared color qualities of the season.

These women all have:
✨ Cool-neutral undertones
✨ Soft, muted coloring
✨ Medium overall value

That means they tend to look best in colors that are cool, blended, and understated rather than bright, bold, or highly contrasting.

Soft Summer is often described as having a little bit of earthiness to it because it borrows some influence from Autumn. Think dusty blues, soft rose, muted teal, sage, and smoky neutrals—colors that feel calm, elegant, and harmonious.
