I think it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite Tim Curry role—he is intrinsically linked to just about every 80s and 90s kids’ childhoods. The Worst Witch, Clue, Scooby Doo and the Witch’s Ghost, Muppet Treasure Island, Ferngully, Legend, Annie, The Wild Thornberrys…not to mention his obviously iconic roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and It. I’m still a bit haunted by his guest role in Criminal Minds.

What a generational talent. What a generational loss, especially for us weirdos. Tim Curry, you will be so missed 💔

Heartbroken over the loss of Dolly Parton 💔

I’m not much of a country music fan, but in true Dolly form she was the exception to the rule. With songs like 9 to 5, Backwoods Barbie, I’m Gone, Just Because I’m a Woman, and Dumb Blonde, she was a rhinestone-encrusted siren for strong-willed women and spirits across the world. I genuinely believe that Wildflowers single-handedly got me through both my 20s and a life-altering cross-country move alive.

Outside of music, Dolly was an enigma of a woman. Instead of becoming a billionaire, she instead spent an estimated half of her fortune for philanthropic causes such as fighting the literacy crisis with her Imagination Library, funding invaluable medical research, and establishing natural disaster relief programs. And let’s not forget, we wouldn’t have Buffy the Vampire Slayer without her!

I’m not much for celebrity worship, but we really lost a true baddie today. Dolly Parton, may you rest peacefully among the Tennessee wildflowers—thank you for proving that you’re never too old for a little whimsy, glitter, and fun 💐🕯️✨
