You don’t need to be “struggling” to book a lactation appointment.
That’s probably the biggest myth I run into. People think an IBCLC visit is only for when something is wrong — cracked ni***es, a baby who won’t latch, a scale that won’t budge. And yes, I’m there for all of that. But some of the most valuable visits I do are with parents who are doing just fine and want a second set of trained eyes anyway.
Here’s what an hour with an IBCLC actually gives you:
→ A real weighted feed, so you know exactly what your baby is transferring — not a guess
→ A latch check from someone who does this every day, not a 3am Google search
→ Answers to the “is this normal?” questions you’ve been sitting with (soreness, timing, supply, pumping, all of it)
→ A plan that fits your actual life, not a generic printout
→ Someone in your corner who isn’t rushing you out the door
I come to you, in your own home, so you’re not packing up a newborn for a waiting room. We sit down, we watch a feed, we troubleshoot, and you walk away with a clear plan — whether that’s “you’re doing great, here’s what to watch for” or “let’s fix this one thing.”
Feeding your baby shouldn’t be something you white-knuckle through alone. If you’re pregnant and want a head start, or you’re a few weeks in and just want reassurance, that’s reason enough to book.
