One of my all-time favorite beaches is Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast. It’s beautiful and inviting, with wide flat sand stretching for miles. The little town is picturesque. But, more than all of this, I do believe it is the rock that really draws me. Haystack Rock.🪨

Towering over the beach, Haystack Rock changes with viewing angle, with time of day, with tides. Always the same and always different. There is an undeniable energy about it, a deeply peaceful strength.🧡And, I am almost certain it magically affects weather patterns of the beach…

A winter day at the ocean shore.🌊Forces of nature and shades of weather. When clothes need to be easy.🦋Some days it’s more of a challenge to tape ourselves together. Truth.🦋When it’s one of those days, it’s simplicity that sways me toward the clothes and accessories I choose vs the ones I don’t.

On that note, I have a super easy tip for adding a scarf. (Because I think a scarf works with almost any outfit). This clip is such a simple way to style a scarf, and my current favorite hack.

Use a metal alligator hair styling clip (dull-toothed, please!) to hold your silk scarf in place. These clips are very inexpensive, and have just the right amount of grip for the scarf.
