It’s easy to examine what other people did wrong.
The harder work is asking:
What belonged to me?
That question doesn’t mean accepting responsibility for someone else’s behavior.
It means refusing to use their behavior as an excuse to avoid examining your own.
Maybe you communicated poorly.
Maybe you ignored something you already knew.
Maybe you reacted instead of responding.
Maybe you stayed too long.
Maybe you hurt someone.
Maybe you simply made the wrong decision with the information you had.
Own what is yours.
Learn from it.
Change what needs changing.
Then leave behind what never belonged to you in the first place.
Accountability isn’t humiliation.
It’s how experience becomes wisdom instead of another repeated pattern.
Face the mirror. Do the work. Move differently.
What remains is real. 🔥
What’s one lesson accountability taught you that experience alone couldn’t?
