šŸļøšŸ§” Finally able to share this one!

This quilt is headed to auction to support an amazing cause—the Ronald McDonald House Ride! ā¤ļøšŸ’›

This quilt will be on LIVE auction at the RMH Ride in New York Mills MN for details on the ride
rmhride.com

A few details for my fellow t-shirt quilt makers:

✨ Designed in EQ8
✨ Stabilized with Pellon 906F, pressed on my heat press for 10 seconds at 300°
✨ Quilted on my Handi Quilter Forte using the ā€œAblazeā€ longarm pattern
✨ Pattern enlarged to 12.5ā€ with a vertical gap of -3ā€

This project was such a fun one to create, and knowing it will help support families through Ronald McDonald House makes it even more special.

Who else loves adding a little extra fire and movement to a motorcycle-themed quilt? šŸ”„šŸļø

I’ve been diving into a new quilting technique and I’m officially obsessed ā¤ļøšŸ¤ā¤ļø

It’s all about secondary designs—taking the negative space between the piecing and quilting lines and transforming it into an entirely new shape or pattern. What looks simple at first suddenly becomes something so much more dynamic and detailed.

It’s like discovering a hidden layer inside the quilt… and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

I love how this technique can take an average quilt and elevate it into something truly unique and eye-catching. It adds depth, movement, and a little bit of magic ✨

Still learning, still experimenting—but WOW, I’m loving where this is going.

Have you ever tried designing with negative space in your quilts?
