If you are interested in nominating a current service member or veteran who have been touched by war for a Quilt of Valor please text Tammy Love at (407) 575-7703 and we will get you on them on the list to be awarded. We can award anywhere (home, church, nursing home, Veterans Day, events other than birthdays & holidays, etc.). It is a first come, first serve basis, unless otherwise authorized due to medical necessity, and it generally takes one year.

This team!!! There aren't enough words to say how very very fortunate I am to have these wonderful people giving their time, talents and beautiful personalities as teammates for the Shady Valley Festival of Quilts!! Thank you all so very much for the incredible job you did this year! From making the Opportunity quilt to set up and breakdown, paperwork, endless hours of preparations, meetings, making merchandise, food, fundraising, parking lot prep and parking... the list goes on and on.....thank you all!!! You are amazing and I'm so happy to serve with you!

What an honor to have been part of the Quilts of Valor award ceremony this past weekend at the Shady Valley Festival of Quilts Show. Over 200 people came together over the 2 day period to support them as they shared their stories of sacrifice and love for their country. Quilts of Valor quilts made by loving hands were draped over them to provide them with honor and comfort from we, the grateful nation. How very precious was our time together honoring these men and woman.

Congratulations to Johanna Murphy for winning the BEST OF SHOW award for her beautiful quilt "Round We Go, Jo!" in this year's Shady Valley Festival of Quilts.
Thank you to all who participated, we lived all of entries and it was very hard to pick a winner! I'm glad I didn't have that responsibility.

Wow! What an incredible weekend we had at this years Shady Valley Festival of Quilt America 250 Show!!!!
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors, quilt entrants, show attendees and especially our incredible quilt show team!!!!!! Together we made memories, saw old friends and made new ones, celebrated the art of quilting, honored our veterans with Quilts of Valor awards, toured and delighted in Shady Valley's rich quilt history, ate fantastic food from our "All American" cafe, enjoyed shopping with our fabulous vendors and in the end raised some much needed funds for our beloved Shady Rock School!!!
Thank you to everyone for helping us keep this building open and serving our community! We appreciate your patronage,sponsorship and for volunteering your time to Shady Valley Festival of Quilts!

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Shady Valley Festival of Quilts this weekend!!! Doors open at 10 am both Friday and Saturday!There are appointments available for Saturday to register your families quilts into the QUILT INDEX!! In just 16 days you will find yourself at the Shady Valley Festival of Quilts!!!!! We are super excited to show you all of the beautiful quilts, awesome vendors, and fun things we have planned for you to do. Don't forget to bring your heirloom and special family quilts that you would like register in the Quilt Index Documentation Day. Oh and remember we have wonderful food in our Shady Rock School "All American Cafe' !!" Our Opportunity Quilt will be on display in the ticketing area. Someone will take it home with them on Saturday at 4 p.m.
It might be YOU! See you at the show!!!!! Be there or be a half-square triangle!
