Another wool option is in Chicago! One of our contestants and her mom visited Fishman’s Fine Fabrics. They have the biggest selection of wool they had ever seen! They had everything from cashmere coating to tropical weights and remnants!

While they were in Chicago, they also visited The New Rainbow Fabrics and Discount Textile Outlet. Both stores also had wool but not as big of a selection as Fishman’s.

And the best news, they found wool to coordinate with some of the wool she won competing at MIWW! She’s set for the Wisconsin MIWW!!!

It's time to start sewing for the 2026 Wisconsin MIWW contest!! Everyone loves to look at new wool fabric for inspiration -- and our MIWW contestants are able to get Pendleton wool yardage at a discount because of the tremendous support from the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store. Have you started thinking what you are going to enter in the 2026 Wisconsin Make it With Wool contest? Or, you might be thinking you have plenty of time, it’s not until September 12!

Repeat entrant Jamie Habeck has entries complete and is already planning 2027!!!

Jamie made this beautiful shawl from yarn she won from Fiber MacGyver, a vendor at the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool. They donated their Merino Twist Mini Bundle and then Jamie purchased a background Merino wool color that would make colors pop - and pop it does!!!
