FOR SALE - SHAWNEE, OK: A Golden Eagle brand Falcon Compound Edition - Made in Crescent, OK - cir. 1985 to 1988 with a Chek-It USA 7-Pin Sight added on - LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY - $95 for both.
If you know your archery history, you already know exactly what you’re looking at here. This is a real piece of Oklahoma AND archery history. Willing to sell seperate if you only need one piece to complete a project, but I’d much prefer to see the whole lot stay together as a set. Taking everything together gets you the best top-dollar deal and saves me from having to remove the sight's mounting bracket.
🔹 ITEM 1: Vintage Golden Eagle "Falcon" Compound Edition (Serial: HB13870A)
For us Okies, this is a famous piece of local history. This rig was crafted right up the road during the legendary 1980s production run from Golden Eagle's original factory in Crescent, Oklahoma. It proudly carries the Crescent, OK factory logo impression right on the frame.
This model is a purist's dream, featuring the highly sought-after vertical-laminated wood core limb ends tucked under clear fiberglass, a signature design element from Golden Eagle's prime independent manufacturing era. YOU SIMPLY DO NOT FIND THESE WOODEN END PIECES ANYMORE!
CONDITION NOTES:
Cosmetically, the black factory finish is remarkably clean with only minor scuffs good for a 40-year-old item that’s seen real field use and display time. It has a pawn shop sticker still stuck on the lower limb - didnt wanna risk damaging it for removal.
Mechanically, the heavy-duty coated steel tracking cables are 100% complete, properly routed, and under full factory tension. However, the center black Dacron shooting string is completely broken and has been left as-is for the new owner to do with as they please.
THE FIX:
The steel cables are perfect, so you don't need a custom build. To get it shootable, it just needs a standard, cheap 38" or 39" Dacron Teardrop replacement string (usually $12–$15 online). Because of the age and the laminated wood cores, don't try to hand-flex or DIY compress it. The cheapest, safest way to fix it is to spend a few bucks at a local pro-shop to let them slip the new string onto the steel teardrop hooks using a mechanical press.

An absolute time-capsule tournament accessory from Chek-It USA (A Killian Products item) Pat. No. 3,854,217. If you KNOW vintage archery hardware, you know how hard it is to find these sets with all the small pieces present and intact.
- 100% Complete: Features the gold-anodized main sliding extension bar, square protective outer brush guard loop, and the original matching branded star-shaped locking dial wheel with crisp factory graphics.
- Undamaged Pins: All 7 original straight micro-adjustment threaded pin tracks and their original multi-colored plastic aiming beads are fully present, straight, and unbroken.
- Note: The black female mounting slide base bracket is still cleanly bolted directly to the Golden Eagle's riser right now. Sharp threads, beautiful finish, and zero stripping.
