My dad was funny. We still laugh at some of his sayings. He could have been the one that came up with the original dad joke. I claimed his tool box after he was gone. It resides next to my desk, one drawer full of miscellaneous things he collected. I discovered his signet ring amongst the bits and bobs he kept there. I wear it every day now. It’s a constant reminder of his love for me.

This post is a poor representation of what Matthew Mead’s work has meant to me. I still have the pictures I cut from Victoria and Country Home magazines. And the modest pieces of red transfer ware I bought way back when. Lucky for me I was able to purchase some items from his warehouse auction. While not my typical style, I’m pleased to offer them at Willow House. His Instagram remains , a legacy of style and beauty.
