Button front dress with sequins, taffeta, tulle, gorgeous braided gold trims. Fully lined with puff sleeves and layers in the skirt. Petticoat is included along with bloomers a purse and amazing hair bow the waist chain belt hooks with a hook and the dangles can be rearranged. The hand made zipper tie is the coolest and totally adjustable and comfortable. The purse is wicker and features an embroidered gold 9 3/4 for the station to Hogwarts. Skirt has three layers the pintuck taffeta fill circle skirt the plaid pleated school girl plaid and the black sequin of the "robe". Petticoat is also included has a waistband of the plaid fabric and the softest net ruffles. Bloomers also included featuring the plaid as well.

Custom Order Information

Thank you for your interest in a custom design!
Because every custom piece is personally designed and handmade by me, custom spots are very limited each year. At this time, custom orders are available only to customers who have previously purchased a ready-to-wear piece from my boutique listings. This helps ensure that you are familiar with my style, quality, and design process before investing in a fully custom creation.

Custom designs start at 250 (for full boutique sets which usually include three plus pieces from a complete look), rush fee will apply and be added for orders needed immediately. Otherwise, please allow approximately 6 weeks from the date of payment for completion. If you are requesting a design with trademarked or copyright characters it is substantially more.

When it comes to customs, I love hearing your ideas. You're welcome to share themes, colors, inspiration photos, silhouettes, and details you love. I will create sketches and discuss the design with you throughout the process.

That said, I am not a reproduction service or merely a seamstress. I am a designer.

When you commission a custom piece from me, you are trusting me to take your inspiration and turn it into an original design. While your ideas help guide the direction, the final design choices are ultimately mine. The reason for this is simple: you're hiring me for my creativity, style, and artistic vision.

I do not copy other designers' work, boutique designs, retail garments, costumes, or customer-provided pieces. I also do not create exact replicas of existing outfits.

If you would like something inspired by a character, movie, book, or theme, I am happy to create an original interpretation. I enjoy designing pieces that capture the feeling and magic of an inspiration without directly copying copyrighted artwork or another artist's work.

By placing a custom order, you understand and agree that:
• Designs are original creations and will not be exact copies of any photo, outfit, or design.
• Character-inspired pieces will be designed in my own artistic style.
• Final design decisions belong to the designer.
• Full payment is required before work begins.
• Custom orders are non-refundable once materials ordered design and production have started so if you have a deadline I need to be aware up front for a ship by date. If you are sending fabric, materials etc my timeline starts when all is in hand so keep that in mind.
When ordering from VINTAGE DUCK you are not simply purchasing an outfit. You are commissioning a wearable piece of art created especially for your child.

I've had quite a few new followers join lately, so I thought it might be a good time to introduce myself and share a little about my work.

I've been designing and sewing for more than 25 years. My journey started in the SCA, where I focused on historical clothing and period costuming. In my early twenties, I discovered the children's boutique world on eBay and completely fell in love with it. I designed and sold boutique clothing for over a decade before eventually moving back South, where I shifted my focus to my photography studio and rebuilding my life.

Some of you may remember me from eBay under the name JZ Customs, but my children's clothing line has always been called Vintage Duck.

My background is rooted in both historical and couture sewing. Beyond boutique clothing, I've also spent years working in the entertainment industry, designing costumes for attractions around the world. That's been a major part of my work since 2021 and continues today through my other company.

What originally drew me to boutique clothing was the creativity. At the time, customers were looking for something completely unique. The more original the design, the better. The boutique world has changed quite a bit over the years. Today, character-inspired and licensed themes tend to dominate because they come with an instant connection. Children already love the character, so the appeal is built in. Truly original concepts, especially for children's clothing, are not as commonly sought after as they once were.

I've always been a one-of-a-kind designer at heart. My favorite thing to create is an entire story, a little world of imagination and wonder for a child to step into. I love designing pieces that feel timeless rather than trendy. The kind of outfit that can be carefully tucked away, then pulled out decades later for the next generation to enjoy.

I've included a few examples of my work. After more than a quarter century of designing, there are far too many pieces to share in one post, but I've gathered some favorites that were easy to access, along with several newer designs you'll find right here on the Vintage Duck timeline.
