Bellwethers "Unique upcycled and earth friendly goods" Bellwethers has been evolution in progress for me. My products are unique to say the least.

I started out by hand crafting 100% virgin wool dryer balls and I have since really branched out into the upcycling world. You can't imagine how many beautiful creations you can remake from simple neckties, t shirts, old sweaters, buttons and old jeans! Check out my pics, enjoy and get inspired! Bellwethers UNpaper towels!

Selling the UNpaper towels that are pictured. These were regularly $40, but I am selling them for $15 which is below cost! They come in a set of 12 which also includes a very heavy duty cardboard roll in the center.

What is an UNpaper towel? You use it just like a regular paper towel! Unsnap a single towel, use, toss in the wash, dry and then snap them back together! Saves a ton of money on paper towels and is environmentally friendly! 100% cotton with terry fabric for backing.

If you would like a paper towel holder, I think I have 3, an extra $3.

I have 13 sets of dryer balls in stock right now. These are all extra large in comparison with other dryer balls (larger than a tennis ball) and sold in a set of 6 and they come in a mesh laundry bag. I am selling them for $20 for the set of 6 (regular price $35 so this is almost cost).

Important things to consider!

In a recent study performed by UW professor Dr. Anne Steinemann, a research team conducted a small study to understand the effects of fragrances in laundry products (both detergent and dryer sheets). The results discovered more than 25 VOCs emitted from dryer vents, with highest concentrations of acetaldehyde, acetone, and ethanol (two of which are considered carcinogenic). To put it in context, one of the carcinogenic VOC’s, acetaldehyde, had emissions that would represent 3% of total acetaldehyde emissions from automobiles in the study area. This is a major omission of toxic chemicals.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry-generated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from the 1990s, the following is a list of chemicals in fabric softener products, most in untested combinations.

1. Alpha-Terpineol–This chemical has been linked to disorders of the brain and nervous system, loss of muscle control, depression, and headaches

2. Benzyl acetate–Benzyl acetate has been linked to cancer of the pancreas

3. Benzyl alcohol–This upper respiratory tract irritant can cause central nervous system (CNS) disorders, headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and dramatic drops in blood pressure.

4. Chloroform–Neurotoxic, anesthetic and carcinogenic. Really toxic to your brain. Inhaling its vapors may cause loss of consciousness, nausea, headache, vomiting, and/or dizziness, drowsiness.

People have many excuses for not going "green" in their homes. After you try different products, they become part of your everyday life and a thought is no longer given to them.
Bellwethers makes many items to "green" your home and they'll actually save you money!
Some products we make..
Wool dryer balls eliminate the need for fabric sheets and fabric softener. They dry your clothes up to 50% faster. Saves you money on your electric bill and grocery bill!
Fabric bowl covers, not only are they a great way to help you ditch plastic wrap, they also look pretty!
Sandwich and snacks bags are great for kids who are packing their lunch and for you when you brown bag it to work! No more plastic zippered bags! Plus, they look cooler!
Unpaper towels are really a no brainer and we carry 2 different styles. One has a pretty print and they snap together to form a roll of unpaper towels and the other is more of a utility type of towel that looks and feels like a real paper towel, but it's fabric! Wash them with dish towels or regular towels. Easy peasy!
Mama cloth pads... Yeah I said it! They're awesome! Comfortable and easy to take care of. Wash and go! A serious money saver! Get rid of those nasty plastic backed pads that cause all kinds of irritation, let alone the gross stuff they are made from!

4. A person who leads a mob, mutiny, conspiracy, or the like; ringleader.

Though I have not posted much this year (due to FB not allowing 99% of my followers to read my posts) I appreciate everyone of you!!
Bellwethers will continue in our 6th year!! We may cut down on some shows, but may delve into Etsy! Stay tuned for updates!

It feels very "woodsy" to me!

This one is also one of a dozen for an order. I love the color! I'm not sure what to call the color...almost a soft gold...
