Finished! This is my first Quilt As You Go project. I inherited a box of BEAUTIFUL hand-sewn vintage fabric grandmother's garden blocks. I watched a lot of youtube videos on QAYG and devised a plan. My plan involved more hand sewing on the back than I intended but I persevered. I also have been gifted several fabrics over time so I thought it would be interesting to back each block with a different fabric.

This apron was made with a vintage feed sack. I made one of these for each of my daughters as I wanted them to have a piece of sewing history. If you look closely, you will see little holes where the fabric had been stitched together or where a label was sewn on. I have a similar apron that belonged to my grandmother, Hilda. I even treasure the stain I inherited.
