Went to a quilting class with Cindy Seitz-Krug who has authored two books on grid quilting on domestic sewing machines. I loved the class and having only ever done free motion on my sewing machine, the grid technique was really good to add structure and planning! Cindy was a great trainer too!

AND best of all, it can all apply to my long-arm, Gracie!

I thought about cleaning my sewing room and then got distracted by some UFOs! 🤣 The "bag" is a 38x47" tote to hold windows from my daughter's boat and it's a prototype before I do the big ones! 😳

The quilt will be used for Hospice veterans. It was a mystery quilt created by Prairie Point quilt shop in Missouri. It was always fun to go with my friends Billie and Katharine to pick up our new blocks. Wish there was something like that here in AZ. 🤗

And yes, my sewing room still isn't cleaned. 🤣

This little beauty, made with 30s reproduction fabric is so sweet! I love the colors. The lady who made it has passed and her kids donated the top to our boutique in August. You can see it there and it will be available for sale! 🤗

Now to find a volunteer to bind it. 🤣

Sometimes a memory quilt can be favorite colors and things remembered, like beaches and flowers. Well, I had to test Gracie to make sure mani-pedi was solid. She was perfect! Check out this Navajo Code Talker quilt by Marlys for the Patriotic Piecers Quilts of Gratitude ceremony in September. A nice little star spangled edge to edge pattern went on perfectly. Good job Marlys & Gracie!

Gracie is going on vacation in Salt Lake City for the next few weeks. The serviceman said she probably couldn’t go skiing, but he’ll make sure she gets a mani-pedi complete with paraffin wax. 🤪 I’m pretty sure I’ll go through withdrawals while she’s at the spa. 😳

I'm working on a quilt for an old friend, so I had time to have Gracie do an all over edge to edge design with the computer on my own gemstones quilt. I just love the backing fabric Penny from Bolin's Fabric found for me! She's the best!

Can't wait to see all the quilts from this quilt along together in our quilt show in August. 🤗
